More on Retrouvaille.

. . .
Hi y'all. It has been an interested couple of days. Normally after a Retrouvaille weekend I am pretty exhausted, so when arriving home after a long flight on Monday I basically crashed, did nothing, turned from a human doing into a human being. Tuesday morning before stepping into the shower I unpacked my bag and discovered I had no shampoo. It was everywhere in the bag. Ever tried shaving with an electric razor that has been immersed in shampoo? So yesterday, beside a dentist appointment, I went out and purchased a few of the things that had been ruined. Today I opened everything, plugged in the new shaver, finished un-packing, did laundry, began digging out from a mountain of mail. It is great being with community. We have prayed together, cooked dinner together, watched the Two Towers DVD last night, and just supported one another.

Remember the
Gaspar quote on what it was like to be swamped. I found out today I am responsible for the liturgies at the Regional Convention in a couple of weeks. So my work just doubled. And I did not have time to do the work I was supposed to do. I have another Retrouvaille weekend this week in Rockford, IL. and then Monday I fly off to Kansas City for a Congress planning meeting, and now Salt Lake City Retrouvaille wants me to do their weekend.

I do enjoy being a missionary. It is the greatest life there is. Yes, you get tired sometimes, but I would not trade this for anything.
