A journal dedicated to the life and mission of St. Gaspar del Bufalo, and to a life lived in response to the call and the cry of the Most Precious Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our on-going mission is to share good news of hope and communion.

Last Evening I had the opportunity to visit Chiesa Nuova. It is the church where St. Phillip Neri is buried and where St. Gaspar preached his last mission before he died. Then we went over to old fish market near Piazza Montanara to find San Angelo in Pescheria. This is the church where St. Gaspar's funeral was celebrated. It is very near the Teatro Marcello where he died. Reports were that this church is never open, being in an area of excavation of ruins. Well, the church was not only open, it was full. There was exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a Catholic Charismatic Prayer meeting was in full motion. The Church is very small, and VERY old and not very well maintained. We stayed for a bit to enjoy the ambiance, but were not really able to explore the church.

Back to work today. Language and nation groups meet today to form formation policy proposals. Liturgies for August 1st and 2nd are almost finished but I hear the copy machine is not working.
