A journal dedicated to the life and mission of St. Gaspar del Bufalo, and to a life lived in response to the call and the cry of the Most Precious Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our on-going mission is to share good news of hope and communion.

Full morning. The infection in my chest clears up about an hour each time after we leave the conference room. Two weeks of hacking. I would try to convince them there is something wrong with the air conditioning but my italian is inadequate.

The history of our working in Tanzania was reported today. The rest of the afternoon is free and I am prepared to head into Rome for some sight seeing. Tomorrow we celebrate Mass at the Tomb of St. Gaspar del Bufalo. I could not think of a better place to spend a Sunday.

The weeks have been enriching. I cannot believe they are going so fast.

A new Biography of St. Gaspar is just been published. It is a translation into English of a celebrated Italian book. If you want copies, just call St. Charles Center, ask for Br. Theophane and order a copy of "No Turning Back" by Mario Spinelli. I have been reading it the past few evenings and find it VERY good. I do not have the number of St. Charles in Cartyhagena, Ohio with me (sorry).

Fr. Barry is publishing a new book called "Gaspar, Our Daily Companion." It is text for each day in English, the original Italian and Spanish. It should be ready by October.

I think I will visit San Giovanni Laterano today....
