Travels for the Lord

Yesterday was a unique day. I started the day celebrating Mass with the people of Immaculate Conception Parish in Celina, OH. and ended the day directing a chant rehearsal at the Campus Ministry Center at the University of Chicago. It felt great to be directing music again. I had not directed a choir since I was Choir Director at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Oakland, 1989-1991. It was exhilarating, but I am exhausted. Did not have much email access on this trip, and about 240 emails have piled up. Now I know how my sister feels. She gets twice that in a day. Just to report the emails are running 239-1. It is a pleasure to receive so much supportive email. About that other one, you tell me: Is it acceptable to be rude, flippant, sarcastic and dismissive with the Pope, even if it is acceptable to disagree with him?

I see a couple of "conversations" were from Dave and Maria Elena Byron. They are two Precious Blood Companions from California They are the ones who got me started in
Retrouvaille, and for that I will always be grateful. They are pretty wonderful people, too.
